An ovarian cyst is a sac full of fluid that develops on a woman’s ovary. Most of the women will develop at least one cyst on their ovaries during their life.

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the percentage of these cysts is highest at pre-menopause women, while 14.8% of women experience them after the menopause.

In most cases, these cysts are benign by nature and are not considered as dangerous. However, there are pathological cysts which are very dangerous and can even cause cancer.

As we said before, even though most of the cysts are not that dangerous, they can cause some other health issues as menstrual problems with the cycle, bloating, lower back pain, nausea, vomiting, bladder pressure, pain in bowel needs, pelvis pain around period dates, sex pain problems, and in some cases it can even cause infertility!

Usually, they will disappear on their own in a few months, but sometimes you will need to use drugs or other remedies.

So, in order to reduce their size, we have some effective natural remedies and tips which will be of great help. However, before trying them, make sure to consult your doctor.

Heat

This is really good for the belly cramps near the ovaries. Get a heat pad and place it with warm water right on the belly to the pelvis. Hold for 15 min and repeat as much as you want.

Castor oil packs

This is an old recipe cure for cysts. This oil cleanses from toxins and excess unneeded materials. Also make lymph system better and dissolves the cysts.

Get a flannel cloth a bigger one and make it 3 layers thick. It must be big to be on the whole abdomen fully. Put on it some castor oil drops and fold it, then unfold it. Lay down and put towel under you and the cloth on the belly. Cover this with plastic foil and towel over it. Then put a bottle with hot water over the towel and get blanket over you for cover. Do this 3 times per week for 90 days.

To take out the excess oil of the skin, wash that area with 3 tbsp baking soda and 4 cups water. But NEVER use this pack during period. Or if you need to conceive, do not use this AFTER ovulating.

Epsom bath

Epsom salts can relieve pain and other symptoms related to ovarian cysts. Epsom salts are essentially magnesium sulfate, a mineral that can relax your muscles and reduce the pain. Add a cup of Epsom salts in a bathtub full of hot water and soak in it every day for at least 30 minutes.

Chamomile tea

Chamomile tea is an extremely effective remedy for reducing the pains and discomfort. It has a sedative effect which will help you to relax. Moreover, this amazing tea will stimulate blood flow in the pelvic area and uterus, thus regulating the irregular periods. Mix 2 teaspoon of dried chamomile in a cup of hot water. Cover and steep for 5 minutes. Strain, and add 1 teaspoon of honey. You should drink 3 cups of this tea on a daily basis.

Beets

Beets are another powerful remedy against ovarian cysts. Besides the host of powerful vitamins and minerals, beets are rich in betacyanin, a rare substance which can filter toxins from your body. Beets are an alkaline ingredient which can neutralize the acids in your body. Mix ½ a cup of beets with a tablespoon of Aloe Vera gel and black molasses each and take the remedy every morning on an empty stomach for best results.

Apple cider vinegar

This vinegar shrinks the cysts due to their potassium deficit. Also ACV has a lot of potassium and many experts approve it. Add one spoon ACV in warm water glass. Add 1 tbsp black molasses. Have 2 glasses per day and do it until they disappear. This also helps in too much bleeding during periods and bloating with cramps.
